Lynda Bourne
My professional experience over 30 years has covered all areas of management, including PM, both in Australia and internationally, holding executive roles with responsibility for business process change management, executive sponsorship and business portfolio management.
Currently I work as a senior management consultant focused on corporate stakeholder management and organisational governance, using the OPM3 ProductSuite. I am the CEO and Managing Director of Stakeholder Management Pty Ltd and Professional Services Manager at Mosaic Project Services, as well as a frequent presenter at both PM and organisational management conferences.
Within PMI I have contributed to the development of several standards and was the Chair of the OPM3 examination committee and then member of the certification committee from 2005 to 2009. I am currently a contributor to PMI’s Voices of PM blog and the Asia Pacific correspondent for PM Network.
Outside of PMI, my focus since 2001 has been the research for, and development of my doctoral thesis. I graduated as a Doctor of Project Management (DPM) in 2005, being the first to achieve this specialist professional doctorate.
I have a working level of awareness of the regulatory and fiduciary requirements of managing a business through my experience in the corporate world and in my own small business. Both roles require understanding and the application of business planning, risk management and financial oversight to ensure all regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
